terms of service
last updated july 2026
these draft terms describe how we intend the service to work and what we expect of you. they are a placeholder pending review by counsel and are not legal advice.
01what this service is
automation-benchmark provides detection intelligence. we publish a capability matrix, a news feed, and per-site detection profiles, and we sell metered access to the verified current-best configuration per site plus a set of intelligence consoles. we sell knowledge about detection, not execution against any site.
these terms cover your use of our website, api, and consoles. by creating an account or calling the api you agree to them.
02accounts and api keys
you are responsible for your account, your api keys, and everything done under them. keep your keys secret. the plaintext of a key is shown only once when it is minted, so store it safely. tell us promptly if you believe a key has been exposed.
you must give accurate account information and you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
03authorized use only
you may only use the intelligence we provide against systems you own or are explicitly authorized to test. you are solely responsible for having that authorization, and for complying with every law, contract, and site policy that applies to you.
you agree not to use the service to break the law, to access systems without permission, or to cause harm. we provide information; how you act on it is your responsibility.
04tokens, plans, and billing
metered calls spend tokens from your balance. your plan grants a monthly token allotment and you may top up your balance. we check your balance before any debit, so a call either succeeds or is declined with nothing charged.
plan prices and token costs are shown on the pricing page and may change. we will give reasonable notice of material changes. during the current period, self-serve billing may be a stub and no card is charged; this section will be finalized with counsel before any paid launch.
05acceptable use
do not resell or redistribute our data in a way that recreates the service for others, do not attempt to overload or probe our infrastructure beyond your rate limits, and do not misrepresent the source of the intelligence. we may rate limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that abuse the service.
06availability and changes
we work to keep the service accurate and available, but detection changes constantly and we make no guarantee that any specific configuration will pass any specific site at any given moment. we may change, add, or remove features, and we may update these terms. continued use after a change means you accept it.
07warranties and liability
the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months. some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
this is placeholder language. the enforceable limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute-resolution terms will be set by counsel.
08termination
you may stop using the service and close your account at any time. we may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that creates risk for us or others. some sections, like authorized use and liability, survive termination.
